Well my little guy's first birthday finally arrived! I was happy on Saturday for his party but Sunday was a very sad day for me, I cannot believe he is one year old. I was hoping the weather would agree with me, unfortunately, it was a 100 degree + day and that meant most of my sweets and treats could not be displayed. Here are some pictures from Asa's party.
Beverages consisted of Lemonade, Passion Tea Lemonade and Water
I glued the little owl's to the gift boxes and included all of Asa's favorite things: Bubbles, a toy Car, Matching Cards or Bible Story cards, Whistles, Magnifying Glasses and ABC's cards.
My oldest daughter was recruited to supervise the children in the jumper... she decided to eat a brownie trifle while she helped out.
I found those little candy dishes at Ross the week of the party for a mere 2.00 each! I decided to put the candy's that may not melt in the dishes. The center dishes had Hershey's with Almonds, Jelly Belly Green Apple Jelly Beans, York Mini's in honor of Nana (those were her favorites) and Mint M&M's. The dishes on the left and right have Razzles bubble gum and Pear, Cotton Candy and Vanilla flavored Taffy.
I made Red Velvet and Carrot Cake Cupcakes for the party, I was supposed to make Lemon Cupcakes as well but time got away from me. I was so disappointed. I was pleased however, each cupcake I made was eaten and enjoyed by our guests.
I managed to get one picture of the tent before people came to sit under it. I think my daughter may have some, I will get them and share if she does. I must have cut card stock for banners until my hands were numb, it was worth it though.
Asa's gumball machine was a hit!
Asa's smash cake was carrot, one of his favorite flavors. I was okay with the white highchair for his party, not to worry, the teal paint will be used for his party next year, some of the same colors will be there too!
Chairs lined up for a game with the smaller children as some of the adults continued to eat and talk.
I thought I would share some pictures with you from my little one's big day. I will share more with you all shortly.
Have a great day!
Summer
