I began searching for inexpensive decor to add to Asa's space, my first thought was Ikea... I love the accent options they have. Here's what I found:
To my delight, a perfect duvet (post bumper pad) for Asa: VITAMINER RAND 4-piece crib bedding set, multicolor
$12.99
VITAMINER VIMPEL Duvet cover and pillowcase(s), multicolor $12.99
Then I decided I would take a trip over to amazon.com to search for organizer bins/shelf combinations for the closet, a nice space for the organizer to be since his clothing wont reach the top bins right now.
Here is what I found on amazon.com:
Toy Organizer Rack with 12 Bins-Plastic & Steel
Outside of the perfect colors and plenty of storage, I like this organizer because it looks tough in case Asa is rough and tumble, it can stand up to him.
Beck Children's Wooden Toy Bin Organizer with Fabric Bins
I love this organizer soo much, the fabric bins really make me happy. I also think the handles are a plus, this will grow with Asa for sure. My only issue is, I wish there were more bins. I could see clutter dwelling in the larger bins and getting away from me.
This organizer is perfect in terms of bins and color. I think I may go with this one.
Ikea has these red and turquoise laundry baskets for 4.99 each:

I like the last option. Just incase he has a messy day. You could always wash them/wipe them down.

My bought my oldest son the wood / plastic bins years ago its held up really well - but we no longer use it for its intended purpose - its in the garage as a sorter now.
I like the soft bins for toys or baskets - Ikea also has some great woven baskets.
Looking forward to seeing what you end up with
Mrs. Delightful - I agree, for easiest clean up, the plastic bins would be best. I also love the last option because there are four colors (bins) that I use heavily in his room.
Mrs. Chic - I am all for a re-purposed use later on, as a matter of fact, that fact alone may just push me closer to the Whitmor organizer. I like the soft bins also for the same purpose, I could slide a few of those bins under Asa's bed for storage and use some in his closet on the top shelf for organization also. I love baskets too, Asa has one right next to my chair that currently houses his books and a couple toys. He also has one with a lid I use for his medical supplies and there are 3 baskets in his changing cabinet to help me keep it organized.
I love everything especially the crib cover and duvet cover. I’m also smitten with the fabric bins :)
Angela - I am soo excited to get to Ikea today and grab up my ideas for the nursery. I even have a project coming up that I can't wait to share with you all to bring some more color into his room. I love those fabric bins too ~
