I was going for color in my formal living room. I found what I thought was the perfect green and gold embellished fabric. Well, I was soo wrong! I cannot begin to express my utter frustration...
I thought this fabric would compliment the colors in the formal living and dining room
Nevermind the glare in the window... These panels are not giving me anything to smile about. I think the color is all wrong and I am super frustrated.
I was so afraid that I was doing the panels too long, whelp... they are too short. I don't even want to try and salvage them. The will be coming down a.s.a.p
Even the best plans don't always come together, so I will go back to the drawing board. I will find something, I hope...

Sorry things didn't work out as you planned! Maybe you could shorten them to the length of the window and try a tension rod at the top and bottom to the panels for a different look, or use the fabric for pillows!
Brandi, I appreciate your input. The tension rod is a great idea, I hadn't thought about that! I have to do something, and quickly ~ I become frustrated every time I come downstairs.
So true that things don't always turn out as planned... But I agree with Brandi. Pillows sounds like a fun project.
Pink Lady - Thank you for joining my blog! I went with this fabric trying to be bold. I am now questioning my decision. I hope to do something with them in the next couple weeks before the holidays.
I think the gold leaf pattern is pretty, I agree with Brandi maybe it can be used elsewhere or turned into a throw or a pillow?? Maybe frame a section of it, all is not lost just new plans to be made
Mrs. Chic~ I probably will use the fabric and do a couple pillows here and there. I have been fighting off the urge to go shopping for fabric, I may just have to get out there and search again.
Sorry things did not go as planned. Maybe you could add some wide gold ribbon or fabric to the bottom to add some length. Pillows are also a great alternative.

I think that the curtains could have been saved if you were willing to paint the walls a darker color then they would have popped against the wall color. I hope you find something else that you love.

Hello Jen - Thank you for stopping by! I agree the walls don't help the color of the drapes much, I need to go darker and I certainly plan to. I have been looking online for inspiration and hope to find something I really love soon. I will be checking out your blog!
